The Pastor's Disasters

Well, the shoe is now on the other foot, and the MSM as been somewhat reluctantly forced to expose and examine the rhetoric of John McCain's spiritual advisers, whose endorsements he solicited and pursued for over one year.

Unlike Jeremiah Wright who merely told some inconvenient truths, there has been nothing but delusional, hateful, false theology spewing forth from Rod Parsley and John Hagee, the spiritual icons of McCain and the right-wing Repugnants.

Hagee said among other things, that hurricane Katrina was judgment sent by God to prevent a gay pride parade from happening in New Orleans; then he called the Catholic church the "Great Whore" and apostate false cult system of the anti-Christ; then he said that "Hitler was a 'hunter' sent by God to hunt the Jews from every mountain and rock, and send them back to the land of Palestine......"

Rod Parsley said, among other insanities, that "the US was founded in part, to battle and to destroy the evil religion of Islam...."

Their screed is far more incendiary and worst than anything Rev. Wright ever said, and yet they will not get the endless 24/7 looping on every broadcast medium, and the universal, apoplectic denunciations, that Wright's comments received.

Added to all this, is the spectacle of Hillary Clinton's lust for power melt-down, as she mused ominously, that her staying in the race for the democratic nomination, is due to the possibility of Barack getting assassinated, as was Bobby Kennedy in the month of June.

These are all the lumpenproletariat that the MSM would rather not cover, preferring instead to savage Obama and his choice of spiritual advisor, who spoke the truth, and was also a Marine who served his country honorably.

According to polls, immigration is a much more important issue among Republican voters than among Democrats. That's especially true in early voting states such as Iowa and So. Carolina, where sizable pockets of illegal immigrants have settled in the last decade.

The intensity of Repugnant resentment towards illegals, has come as a surprise to Mike Huckabee, an ordained Baptist minister. As an abortion-detesting, evolution-denying homophobe, Huckabee is fast winning the devotion of his party's Christianists, who seem to confuse the office of president with that of preacher or priest. But Huckabee has one glaring flaw in an otherwise perfect Repugnant doctrinal resume, he has shown (gasp) some compassion towards illegal immigrants.

As governor of Arkansas, Huckabee supported legislation that would have made undocumented college students eligible for college scholarships and in-state tuition discounts. Huckabee said "he wouldn't hold children responsible for something their parents did," like crossing the border illegally.

For that modest bit of pragmatism, Huckabee is being hammered by Mitt Romney, who lost to him in Iowa. Though he was relatively moderate on immigration as governor of Massachusetts, Romney now presents himself as the leader who bravely "stood up and vetoed in-state tuition for illegal aliens, and opposed driver's licenses for illegals."

Polls notwithstanding, Huckabee's position is more Biblically correct. "We welcome the stranger because the Savior himself was not welcomed in mainstream society," said Robert Parham, executive director of the Baptist Center for Ethics. "The whole teaching of 'no room at the inn' was about someone poor and marginalized and pushed off to a stable."

The more thoughtful question is then this, what would Jesus do - and would He be a Republican?

....let us remember and note that the top players in the ruling party, are mostly religious fundamentalists, who are the latest in a long line of those who have used God as a cover for, and endorser of, their actions. The proof that God is not in the mix and that they are hypocrites and religious impostors, is their sorry record of failures in every thing they have touched and in every crisis they have had to deal with, particularly since 2000 when they took over fully. This extends from Iraq, Afghanistan, Katrina; failing health, educational and social services; rapid decline of the middle class and the dramatic increase of those below the poverty line while the richest have been further enriched; the decline from a large budget surplus to a huge budget deficit; the revocation of some of our civil liberties using the 'war on terror' as an excuse....to the scores of resignations, indictments and convictions of various lobbyists, staffers and congressmen for their criminality, lies and sexual perversions, etc.
These are classic examples of those who 'honor God with their lips, but whose hearts are far from Him'!

the Bushites hope to escape responsibility and accountability for their own actions and failures.

For the dead, injured and maimed, it's sadly too late, nevertheless, the Bushites will not escape the judgement and wrath of God.

A Scary, Sobering Thought

As an observer of the news and of the politics that governs our existence in America and in the world, I see much that is inequitable, unjust, unfair, demeaning, unhealthy, life-threatening, murderous etc. But mine, is just a tiny, tiny, insignificant viewpoint, looking through a small window, at the big stage of life. But how about what, and how God sees things??? My viewpoint is limited to only what I can see here on earth, while His viewpoint is ETERNAL, throughout all time and space, and with no beginning and no ending. I am constantly frustrated at my inability to know and find out, the real truth of events past and current - who is doing what, where, why, how, and to whom? God does not have these limitations! And because He doesn't, He can't be lied to, propagandized, flim-flamed, schmoozed, bribed, lobbied or otherwise fooled! This has devastating, eternal consequences for the powerful, the rich, the elites, the movers and shakers, the imperialists, the new world order dominionists, and all those who can and have, successful hidden their agendas, crimes and other misdeeds from the eyes of observers like myself. While it is scary and sobering to know that everything is being viewed and judged from an eternal perspective, it is also liberating and a relief to me, to realize that I don't have to know everything. Whatever I miss and can't uncover, is not forever lost or forever unknown. This gladdens me, even as I'm scared and sobered by the reality of it.
